Flashy Logos
First create a logo or import a logo into flash. This will work on almost any 2D/flat logo. On this tutorial I'll be sending light through the large letter "E" in my logo.
Make a new layer. This should become Layer 2. Drag Layer 2 to the bottom of all layers.
Select the part of the logo which is going to be flashing. Now go to Edit>Cut.
Click on the bottom layer (which is Layer 2). Go to Edit>Paste in Place.
Make another Layer. This becomes Layer 3. This will be the layer where we create the flashy light effect.
Next we will create a gradient, this will make the Flashing effect. Locate the Mixer Panel. If you can't find it, go to Windows>Panels>Mixer.

Activate the Fill color by clicking on it. Now make the Fill color white. Now enter 0 for the Alpha setting and press Enter.
